You mean the extra cutout in the lower valley?? If so, that has always been there! It is part of the body design.

For the Bird Of Prey Flame Red model is that a real top or a graphic?
For the import model it is a graphic and for the USA model it is a maple top.
We have seen always only maple top version. Where/When can we see some real pictures of the import graphic effect?

The venom's are suppose to be alder I'm pretty sure. But it does look like mahogany as well so possibly a USA Venom? Not sure.

Alder is generally brighter sounding and lighter physically because it is less dense than mahogany. Mahogany is a darker sounding wood and also a physically heavier wood because of how dense the wood is, and usually has a deeper tone although this is usually a matter of opinion.

Thanks Dude I Appreciate the Welcome. I Own A Washburn 333 Snow Camo Its Alder. I've noticed The Difference in Sounds and Crunch too It Than the Cemetary Gates I Got. So The Mahogony's Density Has Better Tone Because of How The Sound Resonates?

I believe the denser wood resonates better ya. Idk if it's really "better" tone, just a different sound. Pretty much depends on preference just like most other things in music although I personally would probably lean towards mahogany if given the choice it doesn't mean I wont play or buy guitars that are alder or basswood. The quality of any given type of wood also effects it alot but I'm pretty sure this won't be something to watch out for with DBZ guitars. Anyways I'll see you around the Forum

Also Something i think is worth putting here is the fact that some finishes can prevent the wood from resonating like it would want to... i think this is seen more in poly finishes. IT's a trade off though because polly does protect better. Also Some woods have a tenency to absorb some frequencies despite it's density. hope that helps too.

Hm... so looks like it's not just the PU's who do the thing.
Could somebody give me a link to a site where they explain to up/downsides of wood, shapes and finishes?

I Got a Washburn 333 Snow Camo. Its Alder and Its Got a Poly Body. Ive Noticed That My Razorback thats Mahogany, The Sound Rings Out More. Its Like a darker Sound and A Little More Sustain. In My Opinion.
I Have a Basswood Baby Dean From Hell And Its Poly. Thats not a Good Combo Cause The Sustain Blows.

Oh damn!
I looked again at the pics of NAMM and Production Pics of Bird of Prey and Venom... Conjunction between body and neck seems so extended in length and height, which i'm not longer sure of my guitar preference: higher keys seems quite inaccessible. Why don't make a better junction?
I am very confused now...
bluech

Looking at the BOP in the new ad the conjuction seems ok. The Venom looks hard to reach if you have short fingers. Im sure it is already taken care of. Just curious.

I don't see the conjunction on the new ad... because it's on the back of neck and the guitar is not in perspective. The Access to keys depends not only on body shape but on neck conjunction too. I was talking about it, see below. Is there another picture i've lost? I'm curious too...

I really can't wait until I can get my hands on a BOP. I literally drool everytime I see one.
