It's 4:30 in the morning, and I'm just chilling out at home eagerly awaiting it's arrival! Hopefully it gets here before work!

Sweet! I can't wait to read your review! I'm deciding b/t this, the Venom, and the Bolero. Eventually i want to have one of each, but i can't decide which one i want first. But it will be a while b4 i can get any of them. I'm probably going to save up and get the USA Greed FLame BoP and Red Flame Venom, but i may have to settle for the Premiere.

I'll be sure to give a pretty good review. It'll be my first one ever, but I'm very eager to get a hold of the thing.

that's what I was going to do at first. Get the red flame BoP. But I really wanted to get the guitar before I record my EP with my band...my drummer told me to just get it custom painted later. There is a body shop that does all our drum stuff and they might do guitars too. I got the matte black, if I do end up customizing it I will get red bevels. But that's it, keep it simple. But after seeing it in real life, I may just keep it black!

Ok everybody!

I can't do a vid for a bit, I don't have a good camera.

But I'm sitting here with my new guitar, and I have to say I really am blown away.

as soon as I opened the case (which is a very well built case) and removed the plastic bubble sheet stuff I was completely overwhelmed. This thing is really a scary thing to look at. The neck is in fact very comfortable, I was so afraid of the v shape, but I really dig it. It has to be the widest neck I have too, and I still love it. The guitar actually seems easier to play than my Jackson. Which brings me to my next point. The Chinese quality is AMAZING. This guitar is far superior to my Japanese Jackson...and it almost hurt me to say that. The frets are flawless the inlay is nice and clean. The action was perfect out of the box. The trem was set up perfectly too...but I slapped some twelves on it and tuned it to C after jamming on it for a bit. That just made this guitar a whole new beast. I've always loved Seymour Duncans, but I'm keeping the EMG's in here, they sound great. I'm a pessimistic person and I spent a long time trying to find something negative about this guitar....and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. The headstock and finish are so cool in person!

I'll try to get some pictures today. But I've been playing this guitar non-stop since I got off work yesterday. It really is the best guitar I've ever picked up. I'm really afraid of what a USA model is gonna be like! Seriously the quality on this guitar is top notch.

it's a good afraid. I'll probably catch on fire if I ever pick one up. I just can't see how it gets any better.

I've always loved Seymour Duncans, but I'm keeping the EMG's in here, they sound great. Great review! Sounds like the experience i will have when i get mine! I have a Jackson King V, and judging from your experience, i think i will like both the Venom and BoP. I will also put some 12's and tune to C as well; i did that with my Jackson and my Randall RM80 came alive. But i will probably change the EMG 85 for a 60; it sounds amazing in my Jackson.

It'll be a while b4 i can afford a DBZ, but hopefully i can work it out in a way where i can get the USA Green Flame BoP or Red Flame Venom. The green/gold mix is stunning on the BoP.

But if everything goes right, i might be getting a Premiere Bolero soon. Either the Black Gold or Wine Red. If i can get my clarinet, Randall CLEAN module, and Epi SG sold, i will have enough to get one of them. I can't wait. But i've been trying to sell the clarinet for 6 months, but no luck. Two scam attempts. I am looking to make $800 off of it, and split it with my parents. With the module at $150 and the SG at $200, i should have enough for the Bolero. But if i'm lucking, i might be able to find a way to get a Venom instead, but we'll see what happens.

I'm glad your enjoying the DBZ. I knew they would turn out great. I wish i could at least try one, but the closest dealer is 2 hours away. I should convince my local guitar shop to become a dealer.

It is extremely light. Light guitars always weird me out at first too, because I'm like, "Is this a toy?" But it corrected me when I strummed the first few chords...not even plugged in it was awesome. There is a little bit (not bad at all) of a neck dive, but I've been playing Jackson RR's for three years so it doesn't bug me the slightest bit. It feels great playing the guitar, very comfortable.

Yeah man, especially if your king V is a post fender pro series...which I kinda doubt since they haven't made them in the pro series for a long time. I've always been a Jackson fanboy, and they kinda let me down recently and I couldn't find a guitar to stick with until now. I'm glad to see someone who likes C tuning as well!

It's the KVX10 if that clears things up. MIJ. It is a great guitar, esp. with the EMG's. The only thing i don't like is the bolt-on design; it is too uncomfortable. Is the BoP any better as far as accessibility goes??

Here are some pics; mod'd with EMG 81/60, 18V mod, two volume, two tone.

I used to always stay in E Standard, b/c of the trem. But i decided one day to try D standard. Then once i got the RM80 in that third pic, i found there was something missing in my sound; it wasn't heavy/deep/full enough. Once i put on some 12's and tuned to C, the amp came alive. The difference was like night and day. I am sticking with 12's tuned to C until i get another module that can handle D and E tuning well. I may try B standard pretty soon thumbsup.gif

Awesome guitar man! B tuning is good, but I like C better.

Anyways yeah dude, you will love the DBZ compared to the king v. The neck is a bit thicker and wider, but it plays so much easier. The biggest improvement I noticed was the sustain...I don't know about you but My jackson had some pretty bad sustain, it's still one of my favorite guitars, but the sustain was an issue. The DBZ can hold notes forever and they sound rich and full. The floyd is WAY better too, and I've always said Jacksons have decent tremelos but nothing beats the real thing. As far the accessibility goes, it really depends on the strap you are using. Since the strap button is on the heel. The first strap I used was about three inches wide and really thick leather. I couldn't play past the 17th fret comfortably, but I switched to my 1.5 wide thinner strap and it worked miracles. I don't really jam out on the 24th fret, it's just not my style, but I could if I wanted to. Hope that helped. Once again, that jackson is crazy awesome dude. I love the finish! My RR3 has the crimson swirl!

Thanks!

The sustain could be better on my Jackson. I though pickups and an amp would improve that, but not by much. I have pretty much tamed the floyd, but one problem i found was the arm. It is EXTREMELY loose. When i tried to remove the fixture, the allen screw wouldn't budge. I thought it was stuck there permanently, but when i took it up to the shop, the guy took a pair of pliers and put some elbow grease into it and it came loose. But i'm not sure if i want to spend the $15-$20 to get a new arm. I think i will try a technique i found on another forum that costs nothing. Just tape and water.

I can't wait to get my hands on a DBZ. I will probably stick with the Matte Black Venom for now, but next summer when i have the time to get a job, i will start saving up for a USA. But that will take a long time, depending on how well i get payed. I might get payed pretty well considering the fact that next may i will graduate with my A.A. and H.S. diploma, and i will be certified in AutoCAD 2010. Next semester i might have to intern for my drafting class, and if i'm lucky, whoever i intern for might offer me a job. Then if i play my cards right, i might have some access scholarship money i can use. But only time will tell. I will get a DBZ no matter what; the only question is when.

MY guitar tech made a lacquer paint on the backside of my BoP headstock and also made a set up with 11īs to 52 EB Slink to dropped Cis....my band collegues and me thought that C nice deep but we wanted to play standard scales little dirted up so we just play in E flat dropped Cis.......

Sounds awesome, too.

Love Bands like KSE, BLS, for me itīs so nature to drop guitars that it sounds shitty for me to play standard sounds a bit lifeless....;-)
