What's up with the pre printed circuit boards? Is it going to be like this on all U.S.A's? Is there something that you can gain from doing things like this or are all things the same?

The circuit boards are part of the new EMG design in which you do not have to do soldering anymore. All plug and play so even a 10 year old can do a p/u swap in about 10 minutes. Gives you a nice clean install and no worry of cold solder problems.

Cool, but can you put those "new" pups in "old" pup-supporting guitars?
Got the same carpet in my room btw tongue.gif

It might have been done before the switch. You still have quick connect though so you can swap out EMG or even Blackouts.

It also could be the Imports are just done differently. On a side note though i don't belive that my blackouts have quick connect on the back of the humbucker

Really? I thought Seymour Duncan did that on all of them. I'm really not sure though, I never really looked into the blackouts like I should have.

How old are your blackouts? I checked the SD site and they say their blackouts are suppose to have quick connectors so I'm guessing your pickups are just some of the first.

There are what looks to be three jumpers on the back of the pickup but the cable that the rest of the guitar is wired up by goes into the epoxy on the back of the pickup. I'm probably going to have to take some pictures if you don't know what i'm talking about.

The three jumpers are the quick connect. You can use that or the hard wire for that pickup IIRC.

Thoguht the jumpers had something to do with the preamp of the individual pickup. pinch.gif

:EDIT: Just looked up more information on these and in the beginning they came with both options but the new ones are quick connect. unless i'm wrong which is entirely possible.
