Anyone have anymore info on these? I'm pretty eager...especially if they are gonna be fixed bridge. I've always been an FR guy, but I just wrestled with my BOP for about three hours.

According to the price list I have they are still Floyd guitars. The only difference I can see is that they have DBZ pickups ILO EMG's.

Where did this info come from?

Why the change to DBZ pickups?
Does this mean that the originals with EMGs are going to be discontinued?

Also, how do DBZ passive pickups compare to Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 and JB SH-4 passive pickups?

No the ones venoms/BOP's with emg's are considered I's and DBZ is also offering versions with passive DBZ pickups which are a bit cheaper along side the emg carrying guitars.

Also the pickups sound to be a bit less output then an SD sh-4/tb-4. Btw they are same same pickup, the TB is just seymour duncans way to designate it an F spaced humbucker.

Sounds good to me. Usually, when I see a II or 2.0 I think of "successor". I'm guessing that this name is a place holder?

Dang. Looks like I'm not getting another DBZ for a while...that sucks. I have to promise myself not to get another floyd guitar. I want something simple...

I'm just gonna get a barchetta ST...or maybe it was LT.

The one that's a set-neck, lol.

that's exactly what I imagined the BOP II was gonna have...but just not as crazy of a body style.

Now I need to get a job, as I was recently layed off from the one that allowed me to purchase my BOP!!

You can definately switch SD's in for EMG's the cavity's will be fine. The only thing you wil lhave to do is get new pots, capacitors, and a new input jack.

I checked on the EMG site and the SD site to be sure and they state their humbuckers are 1.5 X 2.75 which is almost exactly the same size as an F space passive humbucker from SD or dimarzio (passive humbucker is 1.4 X 2.78 f-spaced). So you wouldn't have any trouble switching them out.

PS You would also need to change the selector switch. Forgot to mention that.
