Just curious if anyone here is a regular poster at any guitar players forums, not just a manufacturers forum such as this. Been looking around, would prefer a better environment rather than a constant 1-up fest with knowledge or gear like a few of them seem to be, also open to discussion of concepts and ideas without attacks if they seem a bit out there or silly.

There will always be a forum around where people make stupid remarks if somebody is unsure about something. There will also always be a forum where people try to show off and deem themselves better than anybody else. If you can find a players forum where there is not atleast one person like that, then I will give you a reward :P

It's the least egocentric forum I've ever come across, has some decent connections (apparently Guthrie Govan is a regular lurker, as is Doug Aldrich), and tends not to get too heavy.
There are occasional issues, but they get squashed pretty quickly.

Yeah serious? Been an aldrich fan for a while, he gets around a bit but his work with whitesnake is brilliant. Cheers for that, checking it out now.

Have a look at the interviews, the profiles (alchemy), and check out the NAMM threads (some members were there, and met up with several pro's, including Doug and Uli Jon Roth).

There are semi pro's, teachers, amateurs like me, kids, fans, quite a spread.

And very good natured on the whole.
