Yeah....but they cost a friggin fortune. Plus they look mostly all the same to me. If Dean doesn't come out with a line of basses, I might just go ahead and get myself an Ibanez or a Dean Z Metalman Bass.....>.>

Seconded! I thought about getting one not long ago myself but I'm not playing as much as I should due to the fact that i'm tring to get into shape. Maybe when I have more time I'll get one or hopefully by then DBZ will have a few out then. I hope they have a boom comperable to the Schecter basses I've played. I played a base model shecter and a fender side by side and the fender had nothing on the Schecter.

Oh, or I'll just get a schecter Studio 5. That was the bass I was trying to remember. But I might as well wait for Mr. Z to come out with some sexy basses.

Wouldn't recommend a metalman bass tbh, bought mine when i was getting into stringed instruments before i knew anything, basswood ironically doesnt tend to make the best basses and it feels clunky and not so well made compared to some other basses Ive since played, google le fay basses if you want some serious bass pron, the waran is incredibly metal. Good luck if you dont read german though XD. Ibanez would probably be your best bet, SR soundcrafts are fantastic, great tone and look pretty sweet, very playable also.

By the time I have money for a USA model that I desire oh so very much, there probably wont be any issues at all, guitars will be flying left right and centre :P

yeah if dean did custom builds i would save up for a usa but i really dot see the point unless i can get something that is 100% my own

I'm with you on that. Next time, I'll patiently wait until they are readily available. I would definitely get a 7 string bird of prey as my next guitar. Although, I'm very happy with what I got

I don't mean pictures. Just, you know, shapes we've seen before from DBZ or otherwise, or something NEW AND INSANE!

im not a bass player but it would be interesting to see some completely new shapes for the bass players out there kinda like bc rich and the widow bass

From the perspective of a bass player, we tend to be less "shape-focused" than you guys. Our needs in a bass shape tend to be more pragmatic, largely due to the 34+ inches of scale, making balance very important, as well as more difficult for the builder and designer.

I'd kinda like to see the Dean Edge as a starting point (so long as Dean Z. has the rights to the design, of course), as it is a very graceful, attractive shape, with a good sense of proportion and balance. There's also more than enough surface area to modify the shape, or "DBZ-ify" it in order to make something a little more unique.

It's good to hear you have a prototype in the works, Mr. Zelinsky-- since your guitars rate a 15 out of 10 on the "sheer coolness" factor, I can't wait to see what you've come up with for us!

Oh no, thank YOU for the awesome guitars! I finally got to hold a Barchetta, Barchetta Eminent, Cavallo and Mondial and I wanted to bring all of them home. You really know how to build great guitars Dean. Kudos.
